Privacy Policy
PXEL Product Imaging ("PXEL", "we", "us") is an AI product-visualization service for furniture and home brands. This policy explains what information we collect when you use the PXEL web app and its integrations, how we use it, and the choices you have. If you have questions, email hello@pxel.app.
Information we collect
Account information
Your name, email address, password (stored only as a secure hash by our authentication provider), profile photo if you add one, and the organization you belong to and your role in it.
Content you provide and create
Product photos, material and fabric swatches, background and reference images, written guidance, and the images and 3D models PXEL generates from them. We also keep the settings of each generation (for example, output size, formats and the swatches used) so you can review history, retry and download results.
Billing information
Subscriptions are processed by Stripe. We receive your plan, billing status and limited payment details (such as card brand and last four digits). We do not receive or store full card numbers.
Integration data
- Shopify: if your organization connects a store, we store an access token for that store and read product titles, options, variants and images so you can publish generated images to them. We record which images were published where.
- Google Drive: see Google user data below.
Technical information
Basic request logs (IP address, browser type, timestamps and errors) kept by our hosting provider for security and troubleshooting. PXEL stores your sign-in session and a few preferences (such as your preferred output formats) in your browser's local storage. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party ad tracking.
How we use information
- To provide PXEL: generating, storing and delivering images, and running the integrations you turn on.
- To operate your account and organization, process payments and enforce plan limits.
- To respond to support requests and send service emails (for example, invitations and account notices).
- To keep the service secure, prevent abuse and fix problems.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your images or content to train AI models.
Google user data
If you choose to connect Google Drive, PXEL asks Google for the following permissions:
| Permission | Why PXEL needs it |
|---|---|
openid, email | To show which Google account is connected (for example, "Connected as you@example.com"). |
drive.file | To create folders and upload the images you choose to save, into your Drive. This permission only covers files PXEL creates and folders you select in Google's folder picker; PXEL cannot see or open anything else in your Drive. |
What we store: your Google account email, an OAuth refresh token (kept on our servers only, never sent to your browser), and the ID and name of the last folder you saved to. Images are uploaded directly from your browser to Google using a short-lived access token.
What we don't do: we don't read, download, analyze or index the contents of your Drive; we don't share Google user data with anyone except as needed to provide the save-to-Drive feature; we don't use it for advertising; and we don't use it to develop, improve or train AI or machine-learning models.
You can disconnect at any time in Settings › Integrations › Google Drive › Disconnect. That revokes PXEL's access with Google and deletes the stored token and folder from our systems. You can also remove PXEL from your Google Account at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Files already saved to your Drive remain yours and stay in your Drive.
Service providers
We share information only with providers that help us run PXEL, and only what each needs:
| Provider | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Vercel | Hosting and serverless functions |
| Supabase | Authentication, database and file storage |
| Google (Gemini API) | AI image generation — the images and instructions for each generation are sent to produce the result |
| Meshy | 3D model generation, when you use 3D features |
| Stripe | Payments and subscriptions |
| Resend | Transactional and support email |
| Shopify, Google Drive | Only when you connect them, to carry out the actions you request |
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect the rights and safety of our users or PXEL, or as part of a merger or sale of the business (in which case this policy will continue to apply).
Retention and deletion
We keep your account information and content while your account is active. Items you move to trash in the Vault are permanently deleted after 14 days. You can delete results and Vault files at any time, and you can ask us to delete your account and associated data by emailing hello@pxel.app; we'll complete the request within 30 days, except where we must keep limited records (such as billing records) for legal or accounting reasons. Backups roll off on their normal schedule.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Access to stored data is restricted by organization, integration tokens are kept server-side, and access to production systems is limited. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify affected users of a breach as required by law.
Your choices and rights
You can update your profile in Settings, export your images by downloading them, disconnect integrations at any time, and request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law; we'll honor requests as required.
Children
PXEL is a business tool and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
We may update this policy. If changes are material, we'll notify account owners by email or in the app before they take effect. The effective date above shows the latest version.
